Plug your laptop, external hard drive, desk lamp or other devices into the outlets to protect them from dangerous surges, spikes and line noise. Outlets are split between two sides of the tower for equal access. They are spread apart to allow easy connection of bulky transformers without blocking adjacent outlets.
